St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated each year for the patron saint of Ireland.  What began as a religious feast has now morphed into a celebration of all things Irish and in turn the Leprechaun has become the day’s mascot.  In Irish folklore the Leprechaun is a type of fairy who we all know grants wishes and has a hidden bowl of marshmallowy magically delicious cereal at the end of a rainbow (or more traditionally a pot of gold).  However you decide to celebrate or not celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, at least enjoy some Leprechaun fun in these books…

  1. The Morning segment included an interview with the authors of “Lucky the Leprechaun”, while children were on set to build and design a leprechaun trap in the hopes of catching a quick and clever leprechaun on St. Patrick’s Day.
