Moving House

For the third time in 6 years I have packed up my life and moved to a new house. 6 years ago I was single and purchasing my first home in my hometown. 2 years ago I was married and 6 months pregnant with my first child desperate for a larger house to accommodate a baby along with our two dogs. Now I am 9 months pregnant, ready to burst, and again I felt the need for home that would better fit our growing family. Though its only two blocks away from our current house our new house offers us everything we need…for the time being. I hope this will be our forever home but I’m always looking for the next best thing. Still I feel lucky to be able to move while our first child is too young to know what its like to leave a home behind. For older children, moving, whether it’s across town or across the country can be a traumatic event. The following books touch on moving but also on home and what it means to be home. I am happy to say that I feel at home in our new house and hope to build our life there.
