Fairy Tales Retold

I’m inspired this week by a book I recently reviewed set to be released next month. How To Be a Hero by Florence Parry Heide is the story about young Gideon who just wants to be a hero like those in all the fairy tales he’s read. It made me think about all the fairy tales I’ve grown up with and now the fractured Fairy Tales or retellings that I have read and shared with children at the library. They happen to be some of my favorite books to read during storytime, so check them out and use them as you will, whether its for fun or as part of a fairy tale unit.
