Looking For a Good Mystery?

Growing up I used to love watching reruns of Unsolved Mysteries.  Just the theme song gives me goosebumps.  It must be the thrill of being scared out of mind while walking (let’s be honest, running) home in the dark from my friends house after a good episode of USM that always brought me back for more.  To this day, no matter how many times I tell my husband not to let me watch the Friday episodes of 20/20 or Dateline, I find myself glued to the couch ever intrigued by the unfolding real-life mystery on the screen as I nervously scan the room and the windows for watching eyes.

The winners of the 2016 Edgar Awards were announced on April 28, 2016 in NYC.  Each year the Mystery Writers of America honor the best in mystery fiction, non-fiction, and television in such categories as Short Stories, Juvenile, and Young Adult.

Mystery books don’t quite have the same effect on me but I still love a great story whether its fiction or true crime.  If you are like me and like mysteries like you are watching a horrific accident that you know you should close your eyes for, check out the following titles.
